That's a great shot and with dragon skin the only thing that came to mind is Sean Connery in the movie where he was the voice of the dragon.
The abstract shots are amazing ... Fernymoss did an excellent job w/ these. And being the clueless movie person I am, I have no idea ... not even a guess! LOL
This one reminds me of a hard plastic that melted a bit with in the heat, and then someone poked their fingers into the still soft plastic ...
Speaking of poking fingers into things, I watched Amelie last night ... and how Amelie liked the feeling when poking her fingers in bags of grain, seeds etc. LOL ...
Nope FM, not Sean's movie (was that Dragonslayer?, earlier than that when this one was stomping around.
O, didn't you just love Amelie? That movie always charges me up and brightens my mood... and I'm curious if you identified that "one scene" I told you to look for...?
Btw, I forgot to tell people in the post that this leaf is from a Ligularia "Desdemona" plant, not that that helps that much, lol.

It sure looks like someone is tickling the soft underbell of Kariel 7, you know, that beauty from Braticia, in the Cycle 9 area.
Whoa, K-Head, you're way beyond me there, but great to make the sci-fi connection. I'm not so sure I'd want to encounter that beauty (which for some reason just reminded me of Trout's Venus on the Half Shell for some odd reason ... I'm sure you've read that one at some point.
WHOOT! Manny!!! You nailed it mi amigo ... and we didn't even really think it was that obscure. I guess not everyone grew up rooting for the Mean Green Stompin Machine, eh? That's a pity because the better of those movies are great mindless entertainments we always enjoy. I just wish that Godzilla vs. the Smog Monster aka, Gojira tai Hedora were available on DVD here in the states, it's always been one of my favorites, despite its cheesy eco message! (After all it was released in 1970.)
Hmm, since Manny won the prix du jour I'm going to have to find a real good one to dedicate to him soon!
Anyone else have any favorite Japanese monster movies? I have to say that Mothra has always been way up there with me, and those new cycle ones they've done in the past 10 years are quite impressive!
I just watched 'One Crazy Summer' the other day (he admits with embarrassment) - the Godzilla scene always gives me a chuckle.
Mothra was my favorite of all of them, although Megalon gets my vote for the kookiest-looking adversary.
