Dog Shoplifts Own Christmas Present

Click on Image to Play Video

I just thought I'd post this fun little video I ran across tonight ... it made me smile, even with the generalized miserableness I'm experiencing with this cold that hit me on Christmas Eve ... at this point I'm just taking cough medicine, cold remedies and trying to ride this thing out before I'm back to the regular work insanity on Monday. I've been getting lots of rest, fluids and just generally vegging in front of the TV to Food Network and a couple of movies (I have to admit that Bubble Boy was a pleasant surprise! And 30 Days of Night wasn't as awful as I thought it would be, but then I'm sick and not so picky...) But this short video really made me chuckle (in between coughs) and shows just how ingenious our doggie buddies can be when they really focus on something they want.

Watch this one, you'll be glad you did! Now I'm off to one last dose of cough syrup and then to bed, hoping to feel better in the morning!

I actually saw that video on the local news. A very smart dog compared to some people that I know.

I hope that you're feeling better soon, IVG.

Heh, too weird.

I had a little dizziness Christmas day & the day after. Unfortunately, I can't blame it on the booze because I hadn't been drinking much the last week or at all those two days. Gonna see the doc next week, I suspect it's an ear infection.

Hey B2,
I think this video really made the rounds, and your comment confirms that, but yeah, much smarter dog than some bipeds I know!

I'm still feeling lousy but I can tell it's on its slow way out, so just a matter of time, now.

Hey FAR,
I thought you might like this one, lol.

Too bad you can't blame the dizziness on the spirits, but I know what you mean. I think I had a total of 2 beers stretched over the entire evening of Christmas, and that's not normal celebrating for me, lol.

I hope you don't have an ear infection though, I used to get those every winter and know full well how miserable those can make you feel! Good luck with that!

Loved the video, hadn't seen it before. Smart dog. I'm sure he doesn't consider it theft, after all the bones are just laying there. Why shouldn't he take one?

I saw this on the news, too. Crazy!

IVG, I have a "technical" question to ask you. I notice you put labels on your posts... but where is your list of them? Mine takes up muchos space on the bottom of my blog. Is there a way to "hide" the list?

Hi Gail,
How nice of you to stop by just to say hello! The cold is slowly waning and though I feel much better than yesterday, it's still zapping my energy levels. And of course, even though it's another "short" work week, I have way too much to get done, so the usual stress....

Do you still have your houseful down there? And, I've been reading with much concern about that coal ash sludge down in E TN ... I sure hope it doesn't make it over your way!

Hi Marnie,
Glad you liked the video... I enjoy passing along such fun stuff from time to time, and when it involves a dog, well you know me.....

I think your dog logic makes perfect sense too!

Hi Shady,
Glad to see you back in the state and no problems with your travels!

On the labels issue... when I first set them up I chose not to display them in the sidebar because I was afraid they'd take up too much space. I think you could just edit your template to take them out where you have them now, but they'll still be there. I figure if people want to search a subject they'll find the labels that way ... also a quick way to reference similarly themed posts when I create new ones. You'll always have your whole list on the left of the "edit posts" page if you need them.

Hope that helps!
